I'm in Florida

As I write this post, I sit in Sweet Kid #1's living room in Jacksonville, Florida. It's gorgeous down here but it's HOT!! I so don't like to sweat.

We flew in yesterday and will be here until Wednesday. Today we are going to the World Golf Village and into St. Augustine. I hope to have pictures for you when we return. I will be visiting at least one quilt store while I am here and hopefully will have pictures of that also.

While on the plane (and all the time waiting in airports) I began a grandmother's flower garden done in '30's repos. I have always wanted to do one and have seen several around blogland done with applique in the borders. I'm hoping to do something along that line.

On another note, we are so grateful that our family and friends in the Houston area are all safe and sound. My brother and his family evacuated since they live south of Houston towards Galveston. We have not heard if they have any damage to their home. My father-in-law who lives in a high-rise in downtown Houston didn't even lose power during the storm. We feel very blessed.

Meanwhile, have a great week. I know I will!!
