Well, I really didn't intend to take a blogging break but here it is almost the middle of November and my first post since October 23. What's up with that???
I wish I could say I have been doing a lot of sewing but that would not be the truth. I did follow the little basket bandwagon and made this.
If you are one of the few who haven't seen these yet the tutorial can be found at the Pink Penguin. They are super easy and fun to make!
I have started on a couple of Christmas gifts but, of course, I can't show those yet!! I haven't done nearly enough but can't seem to get motivated. I have always been a procrastinator!!! Truth be known, I just haven't had much to say. (I know those of you who know me well will be shocked at that since I never used to shut up but it's true.) My vertigo has been acting up lately and that is miserable so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
I'm leaving for Texas tomorrow to visit my mom and grandmother. I'm really looking forward to the visit. I'm taking along my grandmother's flower garden hexagons I started on our trip to Florida. I haven't spent much time on them since returning home. I hope to keep all my supplies firmly in my seat with me this time.
Thanks for stopping by. Happy Quilting!!

Welcome Back! We missed you! I too am headed to TX but not for another two weeks, going to eat turkey and put up my sister's Xmas tree. I'm so excited! Hope you are too. Have a fun trip and don't think you're alone in feeling a little "unmotivated"... I think it's the change of seasons. Shorter days, more time indoors, lack of garden-fresh produce ....need I go on? Hang in there!
Have a great trip Donna -- I hope you get lots done on your hexagon quilt!
Welcome back, Donna! Stay safe on your trip to Texas! I've been making little baskets, too!
Hugs - Lurline!
welcome back.
love the basket you made.
aren't they fun???
have a fun trip!!!
I got the little paper templates to start one of those but have not done it. I must now that I see yours. It's a great travel project. Love your little basket you made. I've seen them everywhere. That too I need to make.
Have fun on your trip!
Hi Donna,
Welcome to the Black and White Quilt Challenge. All I need is your e-mail address so I can send the invite for you to start posting on the Black and White Blog. Thanks for participating and I am looking forward to seeing what you will create.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog my Ohio neighbor! Your quilting is so beautiful. I hope this summer that I will get past my fear of picking out fabric and attempt a quilt top. Your postings are wonderful! I don't know how to put the flickr badge on my page, but you can see all that I have made there. I am prolific with all the inspiration from the blogs! Elizabeth
